Dota 2: World Pro Invitationals Invite Na`Vi and Vici

According to One Esports, the Dota 2 Pro Invitational has invited two more teams to round out the current attendees. That said, we already know the names of the first four teams that got directly invited – Team Secret, PSG.LGD, Virtus.Pro and Evil Geniuses. Today, two more powerhouses got announced – Natus Vincere and Vici Gaming.

Natus Vincere

Na’Vi has always been one of the most loved teams from the Dota 2 fans. However, this somewhat changed in the last couple of years. There were periods of time when Na’Vi was unable to qualify for any big event whatsoever. This led to a couple of roster changes and ultimately to the departure of a truly legendary player – Danil “Dendi” Ishutin.

During the last DPC season, the Ukranian powerhouse did fairly well. Despite the fact that they did not get a direct invite for TI 9, they managed to earn it through the regional qualifiers. Unfortunately, their journey ended quickly after a loss in the LB against Mineski.

After TI concluded, Na’Vi was again in the spotlight fter yet another roster shuffle which involved another CIS team – Virtus.Pro. Pavel ‘9pasha’ Khvastunov joined the Ukranian team in an attempt to make their team even stronger.

Vici Gaming

Zhang “Paparazi灬” Chengjun and his team-mates are the second directly invited Chinese team. This was expected because Vici hs been one of the most stable teams during the last DPC season. In fact, they were even considered to be one of the main favorites to win TI 9.

However, Team Secret was just too strong to deal with. Despite the efforts, Vici gaming had no other choice but to exit the biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year.

Currently, Vici is in a very similar state to VP in terms of their roster. Ever since the fiasco with Pan “Fade” Yi, they have not yet announced who will be their new player. Of course, there is still a lot of time left so we will probably have news very soon.

There are still several more teams to go and we can only guess which will they be. Maybe we can even see Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasom’s new organization, who knows. We will keep you up to date once there is a new announcement from the organizers.
