When we build our dream system or pick out our favorite console. It’s important that we make sure to get the very best accessories to match.

In this article, we’ll look at 5 of the best speakers you can get for gaming in 2021. From all-purpose to console-specific, we’ve got you covered.

Connectivity: Optical, Bluetooth  –    Weight: 1.4KG (speaker) 4KG (subwoofer) –   Audio:  2.1 –   Watts: 200W

Soundbars have become the go-to for home gaming speakers. With their sleek design and portability, they’ve become a staple underneath TVs. Samsung makes a great deal of quality consumer-level tech and this 2.1 soundbar is no exception. As our pick of the 2.1 speaker options, you can’t go too wrong with this Samsung unit.

Clocking in at just shy of $200, the HW-R450 bucks the trend for soundbars at this price point by coming with a subwoofer. With Bluetooth and wired connection, the Smart Sound Mode and Game Mode make this an easy pick for us.

Best Surround Sound Soundbar – Sonos Arc

Connectivity: WI-FI, AirPlay2, Bluetooth, AUX, Optical, Ethernet, HDMI – Weight: 6.25 KG –   Audio: 7.1 – Watts: N/A

If you want to spend a little more then the Sonos Arc might be the one for you. Clocking in at a much higher $800, the Arc isn’t cheap, but all the reviews seem to suggest this is a special bit of kit. The kit comes in black or white and offers two additional versions for those looking to spend even more on an entertainment option or surround speaker set.

The main highlight of the Arc is the Dolby Atmos Dynamic, which will be especially useful if you use any of the big streaming services available globally. While it’s often hard to justify spending $500 plus on something that you can’t test, we’d definitely recommend giving this one a listen at a store near you when it becomes available.

Best Budget Gaming Speakers – Creative Pebble V3

Connectivity: USB-C, Bluetooth, AUX  –    Weight: 1 KG –   Audio: 2.0  – Watts: 16W

If you’re looking for a sleek pair of desktop speakers that won’t break the bank then the Creative Pebble might just be for you. With its sleek design, it’s ideal for a laptop set up or taken on a trip. Coming in black or white variations, the Pebble often finds itself winning awards for under $100 speakers.

While these little USB speakers aren’t going to make the sound pop on those latest video game releases, they’ll be an upgrade on your built-in laptop or monitor speakers and they’ll only cost you around $35.

Overall Best Gaming Speakers – Bose Companion 2 Series III

Connectivity: AUX, Headphone jack  – Weight: 1.8 KG  –  Audio: 2.1 -Watts: 22W

Bose has been a name synonymous with quality in audio for years. While they’re often considered an expensive option, the Bose Companion 2 Series III can be picked up for around $100 these days and will provide you with an amazing set of speakers for gaming and movies.

I’ve personally used these speakers for over four years now, they’ve even moved to a new country with me and I’d buy them again in an instant. With a great audio range and an impressive base for studio speakers, the Bose Companion 2 Series III is easy to recommend. IIf you want to spend more (closer to the high-end speakers' price) then Bose also offers users the Companion 20 at around $220.

Runner-up Best Gaming Speakers – Logitech G560

A computer setup is shown with a monitor, keyboard, mouse and the Logitech G560 speakers with blue and yellow lights behind it all

Connectivity: Bluetooth, USB, Headphone jack  – Weight: 1.79 KG  –  Audio:7.1 — Watts: 240W

Coming in at a close second is the $200 Logitech G560 speakers. With an RGB backlight with software that provides lighting based on your monitor’s main color groups, the G560’s certainly offer something unique. Plus, being Logitech you know you’re getting a quality product aimed at gamers.

The unit also comes with 7.1 surround sound and a down-firing subwoofer. While all these benefits seem better than what the Bose option offers, the increase of $120 is a lot to stomach for some, especially in PC audio when people tend to favor headphones for daily use. That said, if the added features and more “gaming” aesthetic are worth the extra $ then we highly recommend checking out the G560’s.
