Warzone Solos Become Competitive Again With Bertha Spawn Rate Reduced

The Cargo Trucks are finally gone, and Solo’s are back to their best

Warzone has brought endless hours of gameplay to fans of Call of Duty since its release. While it features many different ways to play, some are better than others. As a result, Solos have been a major issue from the start. Solo Warzone matches tend to see many players using the Cargo Trucks, or “Bertha’s”. This means that matches can often end with three or more players all in vehicles in the final circle. This makes Solos impossible to win if you don't have one yourself.

However, today Raven Software announced a change to the spawn rate of Cargo Trucks, finally making Solos competitive again. Cargo Truck spawn rates for Solo mode have been reduced to five (static) from a range of 16 to 20. This means there will be less on the map, making it much less likely that you’ll see multiple in the final circle.

Raven commented on the issue of Cargo Trucks recently. “Cargo Trucks are incredibly durable and provide ample cover from enemy fire—which makes them the optimal choice for map rotation. In Solos, players are not keen to unload a considerable amount of their resources into the removal of Cargo Trucks, which would often result in a significant number of them in final circles. A substantial reduction in the number of Cargo Trucks in Solos will make whittling them down over the course of the game a feasible and attractive option given their considerably reduced map presence.”
